The phrase “Double Jeopardy” is a procedural defense that prevents an accused person from being tried again on the same (or similar) charges following a valid acquittal or conviction in the same jurisdiction. Before becoming born again, there was an old life that we use to live that had a penalty of death and sorrow. We did and said as we felt and were a prisoner to our emotions and demonic influence.
On the day when we received Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior, he gave us a second chance to make a first impression. Death was no longer our sentence, but it was replaced with one of eternal life. Now the devil, who is called the “accuser of the brethren,” will always try to tempt us to revert to that “old man.” However, we the power to resist him and walk in the newness of life. When your past comes knocking at the door, and it will, let it know they’ve got the Wrong One!#BeEncouraged #TheWrongOne
