“Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual. Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.”

The three Hebrew boys were sentenced to death by fire. This punishment wasn’t because they had done something wrong, but because they had done something right. The interesting fact is the only people that died by fire that day were the ones that threw them inside the furnace. The very thing designed to burn these “boys” actually benefited them. It’s forged and confirmed their belief in God and showcased his power to the world.
There are times in life that God will keep us from the fire; however, there are also times he will allow us to go through the fire for his purpose. No different than the three Hebrew boys, our “fires” are ordered to refine and develop us while also providing testimony to others of how we made it through. The fire we face today is not punishment but purification for promotion. #BeEncouraged #ForgedintheFire
